Watching a recording back
Updated
Every session armed with the camera is recorded, encrypted on the device before it’s uploaded. Only your own devices can play it back.
After a session ends
Open Stealward on any of your devices, pick the session, and press play. You can scrub anywhere in it, and jump straight to the moments where something happened — the alerts from that session are marked on the timeline, so you can go to the movement rather than hunting for it.
If you open a session the moment it ends, you may see “Recording still processing.” The last part of the video is being finalized. Wait a few seconds and try again.
Scrubbing back mid-session
You don’t have to wait for a session to end. While one is running you can rewind along the timeline, watch what already happened, and jump back to live.
Live rewind availability depends on your plan. Without it, you can still return to the live view while the session runs and watch the recording after it ends, if those features are included in your plan. See plans and pricing.
Picture in Picture
Picture in Picture puts the video in a small floating window so you can keep an eye on it while you use other apps. Its availability depends on your plan. See plans and pricing.
How long a recording stays
Recordings are kept for a limited time after the session ends and are then deleted. How long depends on your plan. If there’s one you want to keep for good, save it to your device before then.
You can also delete a session yourself at any point, which removes its recording immediately.
