Adding another device

Stealward needs at least two devices: one to watch, one to carry the alerts. Linking a second one takes a minute, and both devices need to be with you while you do it.

Before you start

Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network — one you trust, like home rather than a café. It makes the link faster and more reliable. On iPhone and iPad, allow Local Network access when you’re asked.

Linking

On the device you already use: go to Me › Devices › Add a device. Stealward shows a six-digit code.

Don’t send that code to anyone. It’s meant to be typed on a device in front of you, nowhere else.

On the new device: open Stealward and choose Link an account, then enter the code.

The confirmation step

Next you’ll be asked two quick questions. Each one shows a few rows of characters and asks which one matches a row shown on the new device. Tap the matching one, twice.

These checks confirm that the two devices are connected to each other. Once both rounds match, linking finishes.

If none of the options match what the new device shows, choose None of these match. Stealward stops the link there so nothing can quietly join your account.

If it doesn’t work

• “Still waiting” — the new device hasn’t opened its link screen yet. Get it to Link an account and enter the code.
• The rows didn’t match — this usually means the two devices weren’t really connected to each other. Start over with both on the same trusted Wi-Fi. You’re not doing anything wrong.
• Nothing happens on the new device — check it’s on the same network and that Local Network access was allowed.

After linking

Turn on notifications on the new device so it can receive alerts, and it’ll show as Ready for alerts in your device list. If it says Not set up for alerts, see Permissions.
